The Stormin Norman Inshore Challenge is a not-for-profit organization formed by friends of the one-and-only Kent "Stormin" Norman. The inshore fishing tournament is held annually in Fairhope, Alabama with the goal of raising funds to be donated in Kent's name, to children who have lost a parent as well as local charities. The Challenge is open to anglers of all ages and skill levels. We have a junior anglers bracket just for kids! Bring the family and join us for a day at the beach, cold drinks, raffles, live music, kids activities and great food.

The 2009 Stormin’ Norman Committee would like to thank all of those involved with the success of this year’s Inshore Fishing Challenge. We have not tallied all of the final numbers, but this year’s event had over 300 anglers participate and the overwhelming amount of donated items, financial contributions and participation helped us raise more than double the numbers from 2008.
It is a testament to the memory of John “Scooter” Williams that his family and friends responded in such a generous manner. It is also a testament to the good people of this community and state that they would contribute their time and resources to help the children of a family they might not know and support the educational needs of children left behind.
From all of us at the Stormin’ Norman Inshore Fishing Challenge, we offer our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all of you who helped. Please mark your calendars for the 2010 Challenge which will be held on Father’s Day weekend next year. The date of the tournament will be June 19, 2010. See you then!
