Registration is $20 per angler. There is an optional $10 fee for each lunker category.

Official Rules

  1. 80% pay out will be divided for the best 5 specks, 3 slot reds (16”-26” one flip allowed with a pinched tail) , 1 triple tale and 3 flounder per boat.
  2. In the event of a tie the first fish weighed wins.
  3. There is an optional $10.00 lunker fee per species for the larget Speck, Slot Redfish, Flounder and Tripletail.
  4. This is a per boat tournament, all people in boat must be signed for the tournament. Maximum 4 per boat.
  5. All fish being combined by anglers for an aggregate weight must be caught from the same boat.
  6. Registration fee of $20.00 per person for Stormin’ Norman Inshore Fishing Challenge.
  7. Alabama waters only, fishing time is from safe light, and weigh in is from 12:00-3:00 p.m. All persons wanting to weigh in fish must check in with the weighmaster at Fairhope Yacht Club (101 Volanta Ave, Fairhope AL) by 3PM.
  8. All registration fees must be paid by Friday June 17th.
  9. Fishing starts at safe light on the morning of Saturday, June 18th
  10. Fish being weighed must be culled by anglers prior to approaching weigh station.
  11. Cheating will not be tolerated by Stormin’ Norman Inshore Fishing Challenge, if the weigh master determines an angler or anglers have cheated during the tournament the captain and persons on the boat will be disqualified. A protest can be made for $100.00 and is non-refundable if not overturned by the Stormin’ Norman Inshore Fishing Challenge board. This must be in writing by 3:30 p.m.
  12. All fish are subject to being checked with a T meter and or physical examination.
  13. All participants are subject to a polygraph examination.
  14. No gigging, gill nets or trammel nets of any kind will not be allowed. Hook and line only. Hand nets are allowed for netting fish that are hooked by hook and line.
  15. The board of Stormin’ Norman Inshore Fishing Challenge reserves the right to reschedule the tournament due to weather and is non-refundable. The earliest date will follow.
  16. Stormin’ Norman Inshore Fishing Challenge is not liable for typos within the rules and reserves the right to amend the rules upon its discretion.
  17. All rule interpretations shall come from the Stormin’ Norman Inshore Fishing Challenge President and board.
